How to retrieve fish from overflow?

I have an escapee! One of my two neon gobies must have jumped and landed in my overflow. (I'm sure glad I had the top covered.) I had been missing him for over a week and was overjoyed when i saw him as I was trying to do a little cleaning. My tank is an All Glass 90 gallon with an overflow to a 30(?) gallon sump. I cannot figure out how to catch the quick little fellow because of the plumbing and tight quarters. Does anyone have any suggestions?
