I got this coral from a guy who's tank was in very poor shape, well actually I got sevral corals. The tank was on the verge of complete crash. When I got them they were pretty bleached, but after some TLC and a month in the QT, they are now coloring up. I can't seem to tell from the books and other pics for sure this one. I believe it to be a Elegant moon polyp..Protopalythoa vestitus. Maybe you could help!!

Looks to be a type of Palythoa to me. Not protopalythoa, as the polyps are connected at the base.

I think jet is correct. Also this is a large semihemispherical mass with may polyps and looks allot like Palythoa caribaeorum

a very conspicuous species... I agree with Boomer's ID

A hungry zoanthid... please be sure to offer it finely minced meats of marnie origin several times weekly at least. Thawed frozen mysids or smaller meats would be fine.
