Are these tentacles an Aptasia? I can't even see them with the naked eye. All I could see was the tiny white spots when I noticed the Zoa was not happy...then the (crappy) macro shots revealed the tentacles. Should I just scrape that part off, or is there a better remedy?

thanks!

Is definately not aiptasia. Looks like maybe an orange ball anemone or something similar. For sure an anemone. I recommend you try to remove it. Is most likely irritating your tubbs Could try a needle with Boiling hot water, lemon juice, kalkwaser or try to get it to move onto a rock by smothering it. Or cut in from the plug? Good Luck!

its a corynactis anemone...u can take it out easily...take it out:)i see some green algae and debris and also cyanobacteria(red slime)..i recommend you put it in lots of flow...to clean off debris..and brush the algae off gently by a soft brush(*toothbrush will work*)

hope this help...
