looked in my sump this morning and had a few of these in there , (my camera isnt that great i know)

look like starfish to me

Little brittle stars, very common hitchhiker cleaners. I have hundreds: perhaps 1000s in my system

yeah brittles and serpent stars seem to just pop out of the ground...like daisies
