Hello all! Ive been noticing these lil green tube worm looking things growing in my tank there spreading. Should I be worried

It's a macro algae, can't remember exactly what kind, but everything I see them in my tank, I just pull them out.
Seems to be a real slow growing one.

Finn thanks! really those are macro algae that is crazy. Ive been telling my friends there worms of some kind lol. Do u know the name of them or point me to the right place to look.

It is soo hard to make a certain id, but I find them in my tank once in a while and I just pull them out.

Im letting these grow in my tank also i have seen some want to buy threads for this algae for peoples display. I personally like it as long as its not over growing the space i have it in.

I have had this in my tank for since 2005 and i will say like Martin (Finn) said you cant pluck it out and don't worry about grabbing it immediately. it doesn't grow fast what so ever and will not take over your tank. They are kind of a nice green. I will also add that were i found this algae to be growing i found it to always grow out of the same rock.

neomeris annulata

ive seen pictures that this will and can take over tanks although it does say usually not a problem
