Anyone happen to know what this green stuff is? Started growing in this polyp rock and was wondering if I should pick it or let it grow? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hmmm, almost looks like a grape calurpa...but the "grapes" are flat...lol. It's some kind of Macro. From the vining look of it, I'd say it's of the Calurpa family. Calurpa has a habit of being very aggressive and will attach to anything. Unless you've got something in your tank that will eat it, I'd suggest removing it.

it's caulerpa ...get it off get it off !! :p.
it can take over your tank ...or at least it took over mine a few years back and i still got some baby branches that seem to want to grow .
i picked mine with the twicers (you know those women eye brow pickers :p) ..it can be hell to do it but it's one way ....also the emerald crab that i had at that time did a great job helping me get rid of it .

I have a small patch of that stuff growing in my reef as well. No other algae is growing but that stuff seems to be doing just fine, of course.

that is called toadstool caulerpa and is harmles. if you have any tangs they love that stuff, also a great nitrate reducer...
The only problem is it grows like a weed.....
