Hi Everybody;
Well we have the results in from this year’s IMAC (the International Marine Aquarium Conference). This year we set another attendance record, 562 of you were there and we sold out all the booths again. IMAC has been growing each year so for 2006, we are almost doubling the size of the Exhibit Hall. Next year IMAC will be in Chicago again on May 27, 28 and 29.
And next year we are adding a lot of special events like trips to Six Flags Great America Amusement Park, Museums, a Broadway-style theatre, great shopping on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, a Dinner Cruise on Lake Michigan, etc., so you can make IMAC a family vacation. You can participate in a survey on the Registration Page of the IMAC website www.theimac.org to help us decide which events you might be interested in.
If you came to IMAC this year you got a special registration form that will let you register for next year for just $95, but that expires September 1, 2005.
The theme of the 2006 IMAC is “The Science Behind the Hobby†and we already have Eric Borneman, Anthony Calfo, Bob Fenner, Dr. Adelaide Rhodes, Martin and Barbara Moe, Dr Ron Shimek and Dr. Sanjay Joshi lined up as speakers, with more to come. Eric and Anthony will again have fragging demos, in addition to their regular presentations.
We also have DVDs of this year’s presentations (all 22 of them) available for just $12 each. Check the website under IMAC Shopping for descriptions.
If you belong to a reef club we would also appreciate it if you could pick up one of our banners to display on your website. We will of course reciprocate.
So make your plans now to attend one of the biggest marine aquarium events of the year and a great vacation in Chicago.
Cheers,
Dennis
