Anyone have a better pic hosting site than Imageshack? I have had 3 different attempts of either virus or really bad malware from them. Man I hate that....

I like photobucket. Just make sure that you only upload what you want though because weeding through stuff you've decided you don't want/need is cumbersome once it's uploaded.

I've been using Image Shack for several years and never had a problem.

Never had a problem until a couple of days ago at home. I just went to upload a pic today from work and got the popup about your puter might have malware.

Cwazy Clown, depending on the forum you're uploading to, that may be a function of the forum software, and not PhotoBucket.

I have a PhotoBucket and a Flickr Pro account.

Seems to me, from back when I only used Photo Bucket, I had issues with "sharing." In order for other people to visit Photobucket and view my photos, they had to be a PB member and be signed in.

This is why I changed to Flickr, and haven't looked back since!!

I wonder how they upload them? Inbedded in pics maybe..
WOW, if ImageShack is having security issues, that'll really hurt them! They'd better get on that![/QUOTE]

Picasa by Google gives you a Gig of space for free, you can edit, download, upload, allow ONLY who you want to see you pic's see them, and you and view from the internet, right click and copy paste onto Forum pages.

since I'm somewhat computer stupid, I found a site that is easy for me "DropShots.com" I've been using it for a couple of years and it works great for me and I really like the up loader, its always in the tool bar and all of have to do is drag photos and videos to it and its done.

Been having the sane virus issues. Try TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting. I use that one more now. :)

I've been using Imageshack since you recommended it to me several years ago.
In fact I used it over the weekend to upload some pictures and post them on a couple forums.
Seems to be working fine for me.
I'd hate to lose all the pictures I have stored there. Literally hundreds.

Yea, I love imageshack, but for some reason lately, on my first attempt at uploading a picture, I get some anti virus crap that I have to quickly close then after that, no issues uploading from there until I re-visit the site again.. I attempt using it everytime I add a pic hoping they get it sorted out otherwise I just use tinypic. :)
