has anyone had a hammer coral start to inflate? Mine appears to have a large bubble coming from it mouth area. looks like a small balloon. can someone tell me if tthis is a bad thing? ive had it for about a year and it has split several times. this is the first time ive seen this though.

Mine does that too. I haven't been able to figure out why, but it certainly seems quite happy and is growing well, so I figured it wasn't an issue.

When the lights are off at night mine close up like that. And then when the lights come on they open up..Was the picture taken right when the lights come on??? Or were they on for a few hours

the lights were off for about 5 hours. i had to turn on te actinics to get a good pic. its not the closing upi was worried about. if you look close to one of the heads it has a bubble growing from its mouth.

Id say, do not interven.....

do what changes,

test

and remain calm and collected,

patient's is a vertu,

Is it:

Taking the kids to the pool?
Taking the Browns to the SuperBowl?

err..

defecating, maybe? Or is this every night?

this has not happend in over a year. Now it is constant. 24/7the bubble is there. no guts just looks like either its mouth area or one of the "tentacles" near it is completley inflated all the time. the size of a golf ball. Its just one of tthe 8 or so polyps. looks like anohter may b starting.
