Info on closed loop for 90 gal

hey just doing sum surfing on closed loops what is it? how does it work? how benifishial for tank? current flow? etc any info would be highly grateful thanks....

A closed loop basically takes the water from the tank, and puts it back into the tank. You use plumbing and a pump to acheive this, and what's great, is it creates whatever current/flow you want. Here is a link to the design of my closed loop:

Is you tank glass or acrylic (drill the tank or plumbing over the top)? Are you going to have a substrate (can't have flow blowing directly at the bottom)? What types of corals are you going to keep (higher flow for SPS...lower flow for softies)? These questions will help determine the type of closed loop to set-up.
