Well I have had my tank up and running for awhile now and though I would post some build pics and such so people I have met and know on here can see what I have going on and where there frags went. So first I got the tank from Steven11 and built a stand from and old table in the garage.

You can see the intended sump was just alittle to big so I got out an old sump I had at my brothers.

Then came the move into the house.

Filled it up and got a lighting system from my brother he had. Its a PC and 250 watt MH. I had to buy new bulbs and then it was good to go. Bought new sand and nuked my brothers old rack he gave me and added it and some live rock and cycled. Then of course came the fish and the always lovley algae problems. I had hair algae like crazy. I added mexican red legs and they did ok till they got full and stopped eating long enough for the algae to stay ahead of them. So I then got some turbos ,just two and they tore up the hair algae. Then of course brown and green algae blooms, thought I had red slime but it was a worm that strings webs out to feed and just alittle slime. I finally got everything under control and started on frags and stuff. started out hard on zoas and some ricordia then to sps.

So then I added some macros ,red flame and long leaf calurpa. Fuge was going great with some chateo from a buddy.

And then I got many many frags from fellow reefers on this site .

Nice looking "nano" there Bill. I love the look of the macros in the display like that as long as they're kept under control. It adds a bit of nature to our little boxes of ocean.

Thanks this tanks been up and running sence just after thankgiving. And the macros are actually starting to go away. the flame algae tends to break off and float around so I remove the peices and throw them in the fuge. and the calurpa is staying pretty slow growing . I just pick it if it starts to block corals.

Your tank looks very nice, Well thought out.
I am wondering about your stand. There is nothing keeping it from racking. You have 300+ lbs on it. Plus the sump!! I hope it is in a spot where no one can bump it!

Well heres a couple updated pics of the 34...

Looks great!! You can call your tank whatever you want to. If you say it's a nano, it's a nano. :p
