I bought a brand new glass tank from glass cages and took the drill to it. Drilled a total of 6 holes in the back and there is a 1 1/2" crack in the middle of the glass from hole number 5. Is this now nothing more than a very heavy lizard habitat?

The only way I can think that might be structurally sound would be to drill another bulkhead hole near the end of the crack and double the glass up before installing the bulkheads....any thoughts?

the crack will definately become larger if left that way :( might be able to somehow replace the whole pane or put another over it. i would call them and ask them what to do.

Oh wow alot of cracked tanks latley LOL (not that it is funny). I feel your pain! I just had done repairing my 270g 72''x36''x24'' tank. Lucklily mines was the bottom of the tank and it is on a solid surface stand. I just put in a new glass pane over the old and sel it up good. Your tank on the other hand is on the back wall. You might have to replace the whole back. Or I don't know if this will work on the wall you can do what I did on the bottom of my tank. Just get thicker glass.

I would replace the panel and have all your holes pre-drilled before installing the new panel.
