Is it supposed to be this noisy??

Hello all, I am very new to Reef Fronteirs, and I have a quick question...

We had recently been setting up a sump for our tank, and the overflow box is extreamly noisy! Is it supposed to be this noisy?? It sounds like a bathtub draining or something.... Is there anything I can do to help control the noise??

Welcome to RF! Put a straw or airline into the return hole or through the sponge. Will kill most of the noise.
