I think this is the perfect excuse for us to have a secret ballot at the next meeting.
IMO this election has been corrupted somehow. For example, there was a RF user from texas posting in the PSAS forum the other night. Id bet that person voted just for the heck of it. Also, it is possible for users to create new user names to vote as well. Even if there were IP blocks preventing the same computer to be used with multiple user names I have five computers at home just to get started. Ive never seen any poll on any reef forum with this many votes. Then again, I dont browse reef central.

I don't think having another election would look good to the members.
My suggestion is to have Ghazni and Mark be CO-Presidents. THAT would look good to the members.

My recommendation would be secret ballot or run without the president.
Seriously,The president post itself should not limit to what anyone can contribute to PSAS. We've done it without president for some time with all of us doing great work and we can keep doing it.

I kind of like this idea, I've always felt the more members on the BOD the better.
My second choice would be a re-vote at the next meeting.
I am with Ed I think future elections should occur by secret ballot at a meeting (I suggest June picnic). Is this a good time to mention the charter again
I think we should include a contigency plan in the charter for ties in the election.

It's a tie and i think the BOD should choose who will do the best to move the club in a forward motion. You all know how i feel about this. I really miss the action of the club,

I think if the BOD decides there could be resentment, I think it might be a bad move, unless a majority of members agreed to the idea.
So heres an idea. We run a 2 day poll and ask club members how they think it should be decided. Once again label it as no comments, just vote (they respected it well last time). We give them choices among the ideas we have had:
Board of Directors secret ballot vote
Re-vote at next meeting
Co-presidents
What do you think?

I don't really want to see another POLL done and think IF we do this, we should just ask our Members to post their views pertaining to the method. PLUS, doing it by comments, we'll know who is saying what and that they're truly a Member.
I also feel that the Board members should stay out of the conversations completely. As Board members I feel we should keep our personal agendas to ourselves and not expose our Club Members and Sponsors to them.
I still prefer the idea of the Co-Presidents as this seems to be what the Members wanted and voted for.

I think that if we post the options, demand an answer (because we want our members to decide) and be very clear that if there is no clear answer that the BOD will make a descision and post it shortly thereafter. We will most likely get the answer we need. Id rather not make the decision but will if we have to.
I think a dance off would be unfair. Ghazni is young, spry and limber. He probably knows all of the latest cool moves. Mark is my age and is from the era of big hair bands and hard rock. Head banging didnt require too many fancy moves. I doubt either of us could keep up.

But I don't think we should leave this overnight. How about we compose the message and have it ready, wait about an hour and if no one else chimes in go ahead and post it.
I found monti eating nudribranches on one of my montis so I am checking in between dipping corals. The melafix seems to be kicking their buts, we will have to see the result long term. Last time I fought these with iodine, with no success, I ended up cutting my huge montis down to dime size pieces to save them!
I agree about not leaving this overnight. I've been feeling like we need to resove this now. I saw BOB and Ed both in the main PSAS forum an hour ago. Im suprised they havent followed up on this.

EDIT: Actually, I see ED and BOB still out front..... Sometimes I wish I could nudge (or kick) through the internet.
