Iwaki pump stall

I have a Iwaki wmd30rlxt return pump 4 weeks old. Last night for no apparent reason it shut down. I unplugged and waited 20min, nothing. I took the wet portion apart and found nothing. Motor ran fine without the wet portion. Put it all back together and nothing until I spun the impellor. Its seems to be working fine at the moment, just waiting for it to die again. It does seem alot quieter now.

Might have been something that caught in side and caused it to bind. Iwaki is definitely one of the more reliable pumps, just not the quietest.

Ya thats the odd part. I used to think it was noisy, now the thing is silent after the stall happened. Now I can hear the dolphins over the Iwaki.
