Hope everyone had a great holiday!
Our meeting this month (1/8 at 7 PM) will be at Matt Riener's house. Matt has an awesome 180 gallon In-wall Aggressive Tank with a mix of soft corals and some non-photosynthetic corals, and a large sump room with quarantine setup. Can you guess what our discussion topic is this month??
When: Saturday, January 8, 7 PM
Where: Matt Riener's house. Check your email for directions
Discussion topic: Keeping predatory fish and fish only systems
If you are late and missed your dinner, don't worry either, Matt also says "I'll have a pot of chili and some adult drinks."
As Matt's tank is full of big beautiful fish it will be a great change of pace for us to see these animals and discuss their care and focus less on the coral part of reef keeping. Matt's tank inhabitants include: a Queen Angel, Australian Harlequin Tushfish (wrasse), Pinktail Trigger, Yellow Tang, Copperband Butterfly and Volitans Lionfish. We are sure they will all make excellent specimens for you photo nuts out there too!!
Anyone have any specific questions on predatory fish or FOWLR tanks you'd like us to research before the meeting???
