just tried taking pics top down...with a crappy camera..just bored,how do i get rid of the shine?first pic is ok but the rest its blurry because of the light/shine..or should i take pics through a box?like those acrylic box that u use to see corals top down...any advice pointers will help

Unfortunately, without being able to submerge the lens, under the surface, through the use of those acrylic "look down" boxes, you'll get that shine or reflection, from the surface. Other than that, your pics are actually pretty good. You should be able to find the acrylic look down boxes over there, fairly easily. You'll be amazed at how different our corals look, when viewed from the top, through these boxes.

I've got one and love it!! I recently posted some pictures I took, using it.

Sid is correct, you need a top down box!!!! But as he also said, not too bad for not having one. get in touch with Matt @ CFI, he ought to be able to whip one up for you!!
