Just got off the phone!!!!

Sweeeeeet! Just got off the phone with Rebecca at Oceans by Design just a few minutes ago and my new L.E.D lights are ready!!!! all they have to do is program them for my time zone and ship them. Longest two week wait of my life!!! I have been taking pictures of my transformation and I still cant believe how good the tank looks just after a couple of weeks. Just had to share. Guess I'll be doing my impression of the Pointer sisters this weekend....

Me too! In the next couple days I am getting some new bulbs for mine. I am excited. Would like to go the LED route, but too many moola's!

Exactly! Too much right now. When i say "close", i mean i have them picked out...lol. I have a hard time making up my mind on things. I would definately like to see some before and after shots of your tank and how it reacts to the change in lighting.

I asked on the forum, emailed ATI, they gave me their recommendations. Rainydave sent me a link to some photos of different tanks with different set ups. So after studying and deciding on what I want, I just have to get my money and go get them. I am thinking by Monday I should have them.

I agree with you guys on them being expensive, If it wasn't for my tax refund I would be getting my t5 replacement bulbs too.

I know theres some married women here in the forums. How can i convince my wife we should get leds for our tank? Id need 3 of the helios lights from OBD or 3 ofmore the kessil a350. Shes a bit frivolous. Ive tried explaining the benifets of savings over buying new bulbs, looks, power savings, heat in the tank, etc etc etc

I figured that I would knock off about $40 a month off the power bill by converting to leds from mh, and vho,plus eliminating the chiller on my 240.
That scored some major points in my favor.

I do know the exact feeling you have, waiting for them to show up.

I dont have a chiller, and my tank is a 215. It stays between 76-79 during 3 of the seasons, but summer. This last summer it got up to a nervous 84. I dont use heaters either. If she lets me get leds, guess ill spring it on her i need heaters too!

You just have to put your foot down and tell her that your getting them, dang it. Then when you get out of the hospital in 3 months you can beg her pretty please. Yeah, I tried all of that reasoning with my wife and she just said when we get our finances in better shape I can get some. I don't have to pay for health insurance or at least not as much now, I am on Medicare next month. One of the good things about getting older. That and not having to work my butt off anymore.

The 3 new ones are on my 240
I also have one on my 50.
