Well I am at least impressed with my ingenuity.

Hiding the ATO mess is a cool idea. I make matching 5 gallon bucket covers to go with my stands.

Hey Seth, very cool idea but I don't think my dog would like the addition of a cat to the family. She is already jealous of the fish as is. Your Thrifty Reeftank is turning out awsome.

Cheers, Todd

It sits about 4 feet from it, but with the lack of a lip and the cat beds facing away everything should be good. Also the old orange cat is terrified of tanks after he jumped into my 180 acrylic partly full of water and could figure out how to get back out.

great idea man! minus the cat part...too had to flush when they die so we just stick with fish in our house :lol:j/k

Great idea....Thats funny about the poor cat...haha. I had a cat fall in to a tank once. Can be pretty comical.

Thanks everyone. It has defintley come in handy especially as a storage/workbench area for the tank. I'll probably trim it out at a later date to give it a more finished look.....but a woodworker I am not.

My cat (or dog) likes to eat small diameter tube. One cat looked right at me then bit a mouse cord in half. Airline tubing was a special treat! Just make sure you have some armor or some plan should someone get the nibbles.

Yeah been thinking about that....I guess now would be a good time to encase it. I have some of that wire conduit you use on walls laying around. You know the color matching stuff for like wall mount tvs.

I like it, functional,(for a cat at least), and concealing.

Way to go!

Nick

LOL that could be the case....if the cats even acknowledged the epicness that I built them...but no. No gratitude at all stupid cats.
