Kalk or cal reactor?

Is there a reason we should be using both? If you are using a Kalk reactor should you still use a cal reactor. I'm using a cal reactor but still having trouble keeping the cal up. So I want to use a Kalk reactor for my ro water since i'm going through about 3 gallons a day.

using both together is the best of both worlds for heavily stocked sps or lps tanks.

I do still plan on building you a kalk reactor, I just have been up to my ears with work.
