From years ago, in my fish only inexperienced days, I have a dead sea fan that I glued to a small rock and have stuck in my reef tank. I know it's a little sad, but it helps fill in the back of my tank and collects stray cheato strands rather well...anyway, the other day I saw an aiptasia on it, hanging out between the rock and the base of the dead coral. I pulled it out, picked off the snails and stuck it in some freshwater. The aiptasia retracted rather well, so no scraping the remains off unfortunately. How long do you think I should wait/soak in freshwater before tossing the fan back into my tank?

A couple of hours should do it just right. I really enjoy making a boiling ro water and kalkwasser paste and squirting it in the little buggers mouths. PH 12 mmmwwwaaahhhh mmmwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhaaaaaa!!!!!. Steve
