koralia 3 or 4 on 55g

I need more flow in my 55g. What would be a good model, now if it would be a 4 can I get a 3 and mod it to get the same? Looking for ideas, any input helps

It is a fowlr now but would like to move towards lps.

now where would be a good placement for these (2) powerheads... one on each end or both on the back wall?

that all depends on sand and rock sturcture i placed mine on each side back corner facing the front but I had a open front

You just have to try different spots and see for yourself.


I have a set of seios, one on each end, one pointed towards the back a little and the other pointed towards the front.

Ok... I'll just have to play around with them when I get them.... I don't have any sand as it is bare bottom. and I don't have large size LR.

Although I have been a Korilia fan for years, I have started to switch to Sicce power heads, (due in the beginning to bad customer service) more control on flow and they seem to be built better. They also do not have the large open grates to suck in inhabitants. They also start up very easy on a UPS where the K's just chatter for ever.

just an update... I went with 2 #3 as I got them at a really good price and they have been working great.... thanks for the input
