koralia evolution 1400 and a controller?

I can't tell by a quick search if the seio is using 120v or low voltage.
I have a pair of the koralia EVO1400's and they are 120v.
They ARE made to work with controllers\wavemakers.
I have mine running on timers via the Neptune Apex, but any 120v wavemaker should be fine. They are way nicer than the original koralias that I had.

Ah, found one with a picture. They have a standard plug (120v), but it says that the pump speed changes rather than just on and off. I was told by my LFS that the EVO was only to be used as power on or off. This is unconfirmed, but seems likely to me.

Well, if you believe my LFS, they are not supposed to be used with variable voltage, so I guess that would be no. I can't seem to find hard evidence online.
I can try a dimmer switch on mine this weekend if you think that would be useful.

I really don't know enough about either of them to say wheither it would help.

Do you think the dimmer switch would be the same as the controller in function?
