oh and p.s. do you have any advice for me? my anemone has taken residence UNDER one of my rocks and he won't come out. I saw you have /had an anemone and I was wondering if you could give me any pointer? I have a really low tech setup and I got a root canal today! ......

Ummmm Hi Krish. I was wondering about that picture of the bright green mantis shrimp you had in that bucket? How big was it? I have one that looks EXACTLY like that one. Stomper, stabber, probably a stomper anyway., I don't think I really want a mantis shrimp but I have one and the guy that treats me really right at the LFS has a whole tank for his one giant ugly guy. Anyway whatever. Can you tell me about these mantis shrimp?

Sorry I took so long to see this post That mantis was about 5 inches long if I remember correctly. Curt did a workshop here on them if you want to check it out. I've never actually tried to keep one, but there is some good info here

Yikes! 5 inches? I saw mine again for the second time. I think it either hangs out in my bakpac skimmer or in the overflow goes into my little built in sump. It is not nearly 5 inches more like 1.5 but it is kinda freaky looking. I don't think it has gotten into the display. Think it came in with a bunch of chaeto and a little rubble that I stuck in the bakpac sort of as a mini refugium. I've been wondering why I wasn't seeing more copapods back there?! :doubt:

LOL!!! Now that I look back on the pics and think about it, 5 inches seems way too long. He was probably about 3.5 inches or so. Either way, it would bust up your finger good if you let it
