Yeah, I'm watching it! We were talking about it this morning while we were in the boat. It looks like I may get to give my new generator a good run if it comes this way. I'm hoping it downgrades to nothing more than an afternoon shower to cool us off! Last year we were VERY lucky as all of the hurricanes turned away from us at the last minute. I'm thinking we won't be as lucky this year... I'm really hoping that if one comes, it's after my wife has the baby because if not, then we will have to stay in the hospital during the hurricane incase my wife goes into labor. I wish you and your family the best espically those that live in Puerto Rico (that's where you are fom right??) :)
 
That's right PR. I don't think it will be anything major when it passes through this area, but I'd rather err on the side of caution.
 
Definately...We can only hope for the best. The US seems to be getting it more than anyone these days. With all that land mass the US has, any Tropical Storm or Hurricane that passes through the caribbean, usually hits land somewhere along the US coastline and with the water being so warm here, it usually fuels the "system" making it somewhat stronger when it gets to the US. I'm really hoping this year is nothing like last year...
 
Krish, Good luck with this storm. Buy lots of water before the stores sell out... (speaking from experience here) I hope this thing doesn't go into the gulf. ugh...
 
Thanks Becky:) Hopefully it will go west. We always keep tons of water here (drinking water) and we have a generator which will help tons. I'm not worried about the hurricane messing up our place because it has a brand new roof on it and homes here have strick building codes meaning all houses are built out of concrete blocks so they don't blow away very easily. The main issue would be flooding though. Alot of places are under water after a day of rain (not us) but you have to worry about the less fortunate people:)
 
Looks like you might've gotten spared this time :) That's the main thing with Houston. It isn't really the wind or stuff, it's the flooding that will be bad...
 
I would assume your family made out alright huh Jorge? Seems like we won't have anything to talk about now since it basically all broke up last I heard...:)
