yesterday one side of my light went out seems the ballast cooked 3rd one in less then 6 months its a coralife 250 hqi coralife is sending me a new ballast but its in california ,iam in new york should i move my acros to the lit side or leave them alone the lite has 2 96 watt pc they seem ok but i dont think 96 watt atinic will dowhat do you guys think?coralife said it could be 7-10 days for the ballast to arrive

depends how much over flow lighting there getting, if 7-10 days I would move them, trying to keep them the same height, or a little less

Move the light not the coral. Moving the corals is going to set you way back.

don what do you mean by move the light iam not running pendants its a full hood or do you mean spin the whole hood and alternate the sides ?

What ever works. Ive never seen how your ballast are set up. Is it possible to just switch the ballast and run two photo periods. I use pfo's so I'd just have to switch the plugs once a day.

The corals will be fine with just the PC lighting. When you get the new ballast cut the current photo period back 50% for 5 days to let them adjust.
