I'm lighting a 150 gallon tall, 48x24x30. I'm gonna use 2 250W MH Icecap elec ballast. With spyder reflectors. with 4 46 1/2" T-5 for supplement lighting. now my question, Centering the reflectors, leaves tight room front and back in the hood. is it ok to put the rear t-5's about an inch lower (closer to the water) and over lap the mogal socket (not the bulb itself). Or will that be to close to the bulb creating to much heat to the T-5 reflector and bulb. There will be 4 3 1/2" fans in the hood, 2 on each side, I think all 4 blowing fresh air in, with the hot air escaping the rear of the hood. I hope I explained this well enough, if anyone has a similar set up a picture would be great!!!! Also I was gonna put the MH bulbs 9 inches above the water. is this ok???

picture it like this, if the MH is at 9 inches above the water, then I need to put the rear T-5's at 8 inches, and over lapping the mogal base, but not the bulb. or one of the T-5 bulbs will be hanging out the back side of the canopy by about an inch. I can take a pic tonight of the canopy upside done off the tank to give you a better idea.

see how the T-5 reflector is over the socket while the hood is upside down. Is this ok, will t_5 get to much heat from the MH??????
