one of my lighting systems just recently went down and coralife was nice enough to replace it eith a new system in the old lite i ran 250 watt 14000k lites when i took out the lamps i found one was cracked completley around the end so i had to go with the 10000k that the fixture came with till i get the 14000k replaced (warranty) now i seem to be getting some type of stringy webby brownish stuff, sort of like the mucus from the tube worms any ideas?

Tube worms are non photosynthetic so lighting should have no effect on them. 10,000K bulbs normally have more PAR so you can expect some slight changes in the coloration of corals.

kevin what i meant was there is large amounts of brownish stringy stuff with bubbles in it all over since i replaced the light fixture the tank was without light for one day and when i put the new fixture on and had to use the 10000k bulbs it seems that was when this stuff appeared i was just wondering if the switch from 14000k to 10000k could have anything to do with itall water parameters are good
