Did a bunch of fraggin yesterday. I have a large sump and set up a shelf in the sump for the frags to grow. Can the frags be have light 24/7 or do they need a peroid of rest? The light system for the refugium is always on and I was going to share that light. If they do need a rest time than how long would that be? All of the frags were acro's of various types.

Hey John,
Just wondering why the sump is lit 24/7? Don't most folks run a reverse photo period between their sump and and display tank? Just answering your question with a question.....lol. Enquiring reefers want to know.

Hmm got to love it when husband and wife are throwing shots over the tank, lol.

Johnny its not a good plan to light them 24/7. Stoney corals have a light and dark calcification periods, and each type is different and plays a role.

I Borrowed BigT's method. I hang them in the main tank by fishing line. This works great. No critters or algea. 6x fly tippet works great and you can barely see it.
