Lighting question for MH light

I just bought a MH light. It worked fine when I bought it from another reefer. Got it home, plugged everything in and one of the MH lights doesn't turn on. Could the fuse have blown in the ballast or maybe the bulb went bad the short distance to my house? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Swap bulbs and test. Maybe fuse or bad ballast. But first isolate the problem.

The bulb could have just falling out of the socket from moving it. Make sure it’s fully slid into place or not loose in the socket.

How long did you leave it plugged in for?

Bulb was loose. The littlest jar and it loosens so I have to be extremely careful putting the fixture on.

If these bulbs are the double ended type you may find that the socked is adjustable because some manufactures make the bulbs different lengths and you may be able to make it fit the bulb a little snugger to keep it from happening again.
