Lighting Question

I recently purchased a 48” Coralife Lunar Aqualight Deluxe compact fluorescent light system for my tank. It comes with 2 10K bulbs and 2 Actinic Bulbs. The built in fan only comes on when the 10K bulbs are on, which is as designed by Coralife. My problem is that I bought it from a fellow reefer who had taken the Actinics for another use and replaced them with 2 12K bulbs. So my fixture has 2 10k bulbs and 2 12k bulbs. The 12k’s are in the sockets that activate the fan. This means I cannot run the 10k’s alone and have the fan on, without rewiring some stuff. Is this a problem? I would like to be able to run either set of lights independently, but only the 12k activate the fan. I was thinking of adding a dual T-5 strip of Actinics to replace the loss of the Actinic lights, or I could just replace the 2 12k PC with actinics, although I kind of like the uber light of all 4 PC’s. I am planning on keeping softies and stuff..

Why not just swap out the 12K's with the 10K's?

Put the actinics back in & get a two light fixture for12ks. Sounds waaay easier to me.
