I am looking for opinions on a 250 watt retro halide kit.
which ones are good?
Where is the best prices? etc.

I like the look of 14ks.

The ViaAqua Retro HQi with Phoenix 14k bulbs rock. If your going Mogul the look to PFO retro units with Hamilton 14k.

Ive seen the 175 iwasaki with an ice cap 14k that looks awsome but have never seen them in the 250's.

With 14ks you really wont need one ( supplement) they a real nice blue with Phoenix bulbs.

ROFL!!! Sorry I took so long Steve! I had 2 different PFO retro setups. 1 was a dual 250w and 1 was a single 250w. I was happy with them both! Price was great as well. I eventually swapped the regular retro reflector for a pendant (PFO as well) because I got a bulb wet and it cracked, but so far, I've been happy with PFO which I got from www.premiumaquatics.com:D
