LIKE Button on the fritz

Anyone else not getting results when hitting the "LIKE" button?

Yeah, its not working. There has been many issues with the site and it is getting fixed and so far a lot better. I'll bring up the like button issue. Probably got turned off when some settings got reset.

Well if someone posts something you agree with or like what they said or like a picture they posted, instead of posting, you can just click on the Like button. And just like on FaceBook it shows that you liked it. It also sends a message to the poster that their post was liked.

Its a great tool to agree with info given in that post.
It helps to reinforce good solid advice.

Could it be hurtful? I read in a thread that Scooterman has acknowledged that participation has been declining. Simply clicking "like" is not as exciting as posting a reply even if it's agreeing with the other guy.

I agree that posting your opinions and/or agreements or disagreements is, IMO, more helpful to those with questions. A post reassuring of what information given was being agreed to is definately for helpful than a simple "Like". I dont think the Like button hurts that much though. It would be nice if people would elaborate on their reason for the "Like"

I agree with Peppie.

Behavior I have seen on other forums is to quote the post and add "+1". Sometime people don't want to elaborate, they just want to say "I like what they said".
