They look like some kind of snails in your skimmer  As for the plant...No idea. If you are worried about it and are afraid to pick it off, and you have a fuge and the rock could fit, I'd just toss the rock in there for now until you can get a positive ID on it to know what to do. Just a thought...Hope you get sorted out soon:)

no someone told me not to pick at it is much bigger then it was 2 months ago,

thos little white things in the skimmer, not the snail. theres one by the outlet tho on the power head.

something that spawned?

I can't really tell from the photo, but those little brown things could be little sponges. Look to see if they have holes in them (like sponges do). And touch them and see if they're spongy. I used to get these little sponges in my skimmer all the time. Now I get them in my drain tube. Other than getting to be annoying when they get real numberous, I think they're pretty harmless. And most mine eventually went away. I actually thought they were kinda cute really... but I guess I'm kinda weird that way. ;)

..and the algae appears to be bryopsis. Try to keep your nutrients under control. There isnt many things that will eat bryopsis, Sometimes a foxface will, some say that lettuce nudies will eat it, and I guess that sea hares may also eat it. The best way IMO, is to keep the nutrients low and remove the stuff by hand/siphon hose. Dont let it spread/float around the tank. Good luck

tank out the rock and put it in your sump for a couple of weeks with no light. hopefully that will kill it off. I had this stuff growing on a dead acro and i just removed the coral. it does grow quickly though.

the plant looks like a type of caulerpa. harmless throw it in your fuge or sump with a light and let it suck up the nutrients then pull some out every once in a while for export.

I vote their snails.. I get these every once in a while in my sump along with new baby snails.. So I say there baby snails that haven't developed their hard shell yet.

LMBO!!! Sherman i'm gonna have to steal your signature   .

(sorry for the hijacking didn't mean to :) )

I agree. snails and caulerpa. A plant that size would not last a minute with my tangs. If it gets to large just pull some out and it will regrow. Watch it though it can go sexual and foul your water. I have it in my fuge but I light it 24/7 so it will not go sexual.

That looks like caulerpa to me and snails. We need better pics to be more sure. Bryopsis does not grow like that.
