what do you guys make of the stuff on the back side of the zoo's

its some kind of stony

not the algea, on the rock

Almost looks like a coral skeleton. But I'm assuming this piece has been in your tank for awhile and this is new?

Sorta looks like Pipe organ coral? Is it reddish?

its alive,

i thought it was some sort of pora... but pipe organ fit's great....

she wanted me to push that frag down in the sand.. i told her i dont want to kill what ever it is on the back side of that frag...

its a stony of sort i guess. when you touch it the little pylops pull in to reveal a redish hard surface with holes. (that the pylops go it to)
