LOOKY WHAT I FOUND?! Mantis Shrimp

Hey all, I just pulled what I believe to be ( 90% sure) a mantis shrimp out of my tank, he's burgundy colored and only about 3/4" long. I know that these guys aren't very good tank mates for fish and coral, what are the pros and cons of having it, I'm still trying to decide what to do with it?!!!

I have a mantis that eluded me....:eek2: about the same size as yours but green. It was stuck in my bakpak skimmer with cheato and pods but escaped into the main display. It has been in there for about 2-3 weeks. I have noticed a marked decrease in amphods(sp. sorry we went out for mexican and I had two margueriteas well you know what i mean. Anyway it seems this little mantis likes the big guys because I have more copapods and misid shrimp where before I had more of the bigger "bugs". If I had a choice I would not have my mantis in the main display. Just my humble opinion.
