My LFS just got some in and they are real beauties. I've tried to find substantial info on these gusy but am coming up empty handed. Does anyone here have one or does anyone know much about them??? (IE agression, eating habits, tank requirements etc etc) TIA!

Becky check our fish gallery. They are beautiful but they are also jumpers.

I have one and I love her. I've had her for just about a year now, she eats frozen mysis and just about anything meaty I add to the tank. Shes mellow and prefers to swim in and out of the rock most of the day. I've never seen her jump even with my hand in the tank cleaning. Shes never chased anyone in the tank but no one in the tank has her body type. I don't know the tank requirements but I have her in an 84g and never had any problems. Hope that helps.

Well I won't have to worry about jumping because my tank has a complete cover. Nashon, did yours eat mysis right away??? Would this be fish I should add at the beginning or last?? I might add, the one at my LFS looks NOTHING like the picture in the gallery. It is absolutely amazing.... :) If I get it I'll post a pic right away. Thanks!

The one at my LFS has all yellow fins and has pinkish/red and purple symetrical segments. It is amazing.... I'm still trying to convince my husband I "need" one :)

Becky there is a great wrasse book out. All about rainbow and fairy wrasses. Are you sure this one you are looking at is a lubbock? There are many similar and lovely wrasses that are amazing.

That's what my lfs has it marked as. I'm not really sure though.... I found a coloration sort of similar to the one at my lfs while looking around on the internet earlier today on http://www.themarinecenter.com/wrasselubbocki.htm The one at my lfs appears to be what is a tri-color lubbock's and that's what's making it different from the one in the fish gallery. I think I'm going to pick it up tomorrow. :D

I bought the wrasse today! I'm very pleased with him so far. It's a male bi-color lubbock's fairy wrasse and he is fat and healthy. He acclimated to my tank right away and took some Cyclopeeze and has been munching on some Marine algae that I clipped in there just for him. He's stayed out in the open for the most part and seems very curious. I'm really exctied about this guy. :) His coloration is amazing.... I will try to get some good pics of him.
