Luring out a goby

I just purchased a yasha goby shrimp pair yesterday, upon entering the tank the pistol went hiding and is currently in a shell now and the yasha I could see for about an hour then disappeared and it's less than an inch or so...I was wondering if there's any possible way other than digging out all my rocks to see if he's still doing ok

They'll come out in due time once they feel comfortable. Usually mine comes out when it smells food in the tank, just don't overdo it.
