What are the pros and cons of having it in your tank? If you like it, what kinds do you have? If you hate it, why?

if you have fish that will eat it....you're not going to have any,lol

for me, I would LOVE to have a tank that was in such perfect balance that there would always be enough algea for my tangs to graze but never unsightly. but thats a big GOOD LUCK.

if you don't have any herbavoirs you could do some nice flame...but the big concern is having macros pop up everywhere and you never being able to control them.

some do it though and I personaly think it looks nice...even calupera with all the movement, but I would NEVER actually put that in my display myself mind you!

to me a natural healthy tank.. will be in control of its own algae, some people think that a little bit of algae is bad... To me its normal... If its out of control or unattractive then ok maybe some water changes are in need,
IMO having a smalling controlled patch of algae is normal

I like having macro in my tank. I have a little bit in one of my tanks that is easy to keep under control. I cant remember what it is called. Have had it for years.

I have had a couple macro algae like flam macro I think but but fish end up eating it is there one they won't eat ?

I have long blade calurpa in mine and nothing eats it. Looks nice growing in the corners. Mine has rooted and it you have dirty tank water it can grow fast and start to spread. I had Flame algae for awhile but the hermits started cutting it off the rocks and it went away. The long blade calurpa give a nice natural look. And fish can hide in it.

You have a picture of that long blade calurpa?
