I had a powder brown tang that was healthy for a few weeks and then something
like ich appeared and went away every few days and I thought it was the fine
sand sticking to him. Well 2 days ago black spots started to appear. Yesterday
when I woke up he looked like he was loosing flesh or like if he had some kind
of film pealing off. He was week, could not swim right, would not eat and was
hiding all day. I went out and when I came back my anemone had eat him. How I
dont know but it happened. Well I started to do some reaserch on the signs to
figure out what it was and the closest is velvet.

My question is if I
really have velvet on the tank, Do I need to take appart the system and clean it
or take 1 (last fish) clown out and leave it fish less for a few months? Dont
know what to do. Also the clown is normal and with no sign of sickness.

Unlikely velvet if the clown is OK. If it started to look like MI, that is probably what you have and possibly secondary infections setting in.

Have you started any treatment?

1 clownfish, 12" in diameter green carpet anemone, 5 frags of green bird nest, torch, hammer, clam, toadstool leather, 3 frags of zoas, gsp, pulsing xenia and a cleaner shrimp nothing else.

Sorry guys, this thread was accidentally deleted, please carry on sorry for the inconveniences!

PR,

IF you want to remove Ich (and MV for that matter) from the main display. the main tank WILL need to go fallow (that is, fishless) for a minimum of 8 weeks. This means you need to remove the clownfish from the main tank.

MV quickly decimates all fish in a tank. MV has a white sheen to it and by the time you see it on a fish, it is too late and the chance of survival is very low. From what has been said, it does not sound like MV, but Ich or some other type of parasite.

I am giving you some articles to read from Lee's forum, these should help you with future questions about Ich and treatment:
