Student Scholarship Application Guidelines
The Marine Aquarium Societies of North America (MASNA) is dedicated to the preservation of the marine aquarium hobby.� The first step in preservation is education. That is why MASNA is proud to announce the MASNA Student Scholarship.At the annual Marine Aquarium Conference of North America (MACNA) conference, a deserving aquarium hobbyist will receive this $2,500.00 scholarship to help further his/her education in a marine-related field. MASNA has been involved in the preservation of the marine aquarium hobby since 1989 when MASNA was formed. More information about MASNA can be found at http://www.MASNA.org.
APPLICATION DETAILS & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Applications for the MASNA Student Scholarship are available for download HERE. Selection of the winner will be made by a special MASNA scholarship committee. �The committee will have five members: �one from Academia, one from Government, a previous MASNA award winner, one from Industry, and the MASNA Vice President. �This will be the first year MASNA has presented a scholarship. �
To be eligible for the MASNA Student Scholarship, applicants must be a current/entering graduate or undergraduate student at an accredited college or university and either:
a MASNA member or an immediate family member (son / daughter / step-son / step-daughter) of a MASNA member, or
a member of a reef club that is a MASNA club member or an immediate family member of such member, or
an employee of a MASNA corporate sponsor or an immediate family member of such employee
