i think i read somewere about making a modification to a maxi-jet so it will rotate , could someone help?

i think you are referring to the hydor bio-flo. it's a attachment for the maxi-jet that spreads out the stream as well as rotates. it does reduce the flow. i had one for a few weeks and took it off. instead i just trimmed the nozzle way down to spread out the flow.
