I've got an AquaController Jr. that came with a complete reef setup I bought a while ago. The guy I bought it from had the special serial cable, but it doesn't have the serial port connection. I think it would be cool to have this feature, but don't want to purchase a new controller with it.
Can an ACJR without the serial connector be modified to add one?
I opened up the unit and can see a couple of connector headers on the circuit board. If one of those is for the serial connection all I need to do is cut a hole and add a connector and I'm all set.
