I was given some red Monti Cap and it was turning brown when i got it, i only have 12k compacs, so i put it up top for lots of light, after a month it turned nice and red with the white edge, now its been another month and its kind pink with lots of white. is it all new growth or something wrong? My green right next to it is doing fine.

It's typical for Montis to have lighter edges where they're growing. If you're not wanting it to turn pink, you might try lowering it just a tad. What kind of lighting was it under before you got it? Sounds like it's doing just fine. They will change colors, somewhat, under different types and different intensities of lighting.

it also depends where the "LOTS OF WHITE" is located on the monti?
if it's the edges your ok
in the middle, may be a problem with bleaching.
Don't quote me on this.
But thats what I've learned. But on the other hand I have a green motiu that is almost white on the inside but has polyps out all day long in the white area!
SO it depends on the coral I guess.

I have to agree with the above two posts. A.) I respect the opinion of the two that commented. B.) I have also heard that the edges will "bleach" around the edges during growth.
