hey i just got some montis my first ever and i got a couple of differnt colours and was just wondering if they are rare colour morphs
one is brown/red with blue polyps one is green with green polyps and one is brown with a blue rim and yellow polyps
i will have pics later on when my lights cum on and the polpys are out just looking for info thanxs

well to inform you on some monti information....there are 3 types of monti: cap, digi, and danae. ..danae's being more rare than all others

your colors sound really neat like Ben has said. get some pics, that would be very cool! :)

if they are the plating types then not sure how rare they would be. There are a lot of different color morphs and growth forms and all will change to some extent under differing lighting schemes. The chance of finding something rare in sps keeping now a days is rare in itself. Do you mean nodules that grow upwards from the center of the montipora?

well i got them straight from the wild and i know u guys cant get aussie stuff so ya never know u could call them nodules in the wild there more like towers
has anyone here got pure blue montis because i saw sum of them and they are the most striking coral i have ever seen
