Does anyone know what this is? it is a wild caught specimen I picked up at the LFS. I was there when the shipment came in, and brought it home in the bag it came to the store in. It was the first time I got to cherry pick a shipment. Talk about fun! Anyhow, I know it came in from Tonga. To me it looks like the same growth structure and pattern as a sunset monti, but a different color.. which leads me to believe it is a Montipora danae, but I may be wrong. I have never seen this color pattern before. The ones I have found even close to it are dark purple polyps with a yellow skeleton.. this specimen has bright purple, chartruse like polyps with a bone white skeleton. The colony is about 4"X6". looks like its got some yellow ion it nice find picking cherrys is alwasys fun i know ive got a few :D
