I found a few threads about them and somebody recommended using the red ones. Since repitilian red doesn't appeal to me I was wondering which one would be better, moon white or nocturnal blue?

A lot of people use blue over an SPS tank because it makes the SPS look like its glowing. I use white over my tank because i think it looks more natural than blue. I guess its more of a personal preference than anything else. I think though that moon lighting can be beneficial to a reef tank. How i'm not sure i just like the way they look and i enjoy watcing my tank 24/7.

Definately Nick and here's the downside...You can check that link above and you can read the rest of it. Since that thread, I have removed my moonlights

I've seen more than a few aquariums with certain style/brand moonlights that irritated or even harmed ("bleached") spots in corals for having the light shine down on them at night or 24/7
