Moorish Idol

i am hoping to hear someone who may have successfully maintained a Moorish Idol in their reef tank. I have a 180gallon tank

I know of someone that had several Moorish Idols picking on his chalices along with several other types of coral.

you are not going to find many people who have kept idols alive for long. Even if they eat, they will die.

I currently have two Idols, one for over three years and on for over a year. You have to keep Nori available for them to eat at all times (when the lights are on) and yes they will eat most LPS and constantly pick at new growth on SPS. They like some types better than others.

I have a 375G reef tank so there is a lot of SPS for them to pick at, so it's not a big problem.

we initially wanted to get a moorish idol but realized how difficult it was to keep one alive plus they would nibble on my corals so we got 2 heniochus diphreutes instead. We are really happy with them - they are charming fish.
