That is a brackish Figure eight correct. Sorry I am not to keen on the Fresh water side of the house.
 
Yeah they are brackish as juvenile and can live longer in saltwater as adult. His water is more towards saltwater. But I'm setting him up with a 15 or 20 gallon sw tank. With lr. If you read some of my previous posts about it I got him from Walmart. @ Krish it very much was a fresh water tank when I started lol. But changed when I realized what his requirements were. He does need hiding places so that's what he's in until I get his new tank.

I had a puffer (freshwater) and he was a persistent mean little bugger!! He would chase the other fish all day and nibble at their fins lol.

What's your salinity level at now with him? Also, are you slowly increasing it so he would be ready for the transfer? :)

Hmm okay makes sense now lol. Take pics when u get the tank goin. Think u could get a nice.shot of your fish? I love the color and design on him or her.
 
My ph is 7.9, nitrate is 0, nitrite is 0, And his sg is at 1.002 right now.

That's good man. Best to take things slow. Nothing happens fast in this hobby. Slowly increasing the salinity will ensure that he doesn't have a stressful transition. :)
