How do you mount acans and how do they spread? Do they need a horizontal flat service? Will the grow out just as fast in a clump as being able to sprawl like a mat?

I have several colonies that are growing but they are currently mounted on the original substrate and i'd like to put them right on some large surface.. Can I somehow remove them, i'm not sure on their base. (cautious beginner..)

Picture examples?

you can mount them on just about anything and they will encrust....as long as they're getting light and food, they can be on an angle as oppose to just a flat surface...super glue them down and watch them grow. I've had some grow polyps on the underside of plugs that were on racks.

I have fragged them by breaking or cutting the rock or frag plug from behind and letting the tissue seperate where the cut is. You can also place a rock along side if you have the patience.
